DavidE Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I only see one musician up there so..... You're Paul Stanley? I thought your name was David.(Sorry...... I actually listened to the Kiss unplugged CD a bit 2 weeks ago and I do think Paul has a good rock voice and he's a great on-stage prancer.)
BubbaVO Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Very cool. One of the most influential rockers I can think of from the songwriting and showmanship perspectives. Can you get him to sign it? That would be over the top!
cmatthes Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 DB:Did you buy that painting? Where was that?Just curious. I knew he had been doing a lot of artwork over the last few years.

cmatthes Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Elduave and I caught the last solo tour in Baltimore recently. Unbelievable show - the stuff off of the '78 solo album was phenomenal live!
David B Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 DB:Did you buy that painting? Where was that?Just curious. I knew he had been doing a lot of artwork over the last few years. It's a print on canvas. I bought it in Charlotte. I spent about 10 minutes alone talking with him. I met him in 1995 briefly also, but this was much cooler.
BCR Greg Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Paul's a great guy, and very knowledgable about vintage guitars.
kizanski Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Paul's a great guy, and very knowledgable about vintage guitars. You forgot "great kisser."
Guest Meshuggah Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Paul's a great guy, and very knowledgable about vintage guitars. You forgot "great kisser." That Sir, is a most esteemed title deserving only of your self.
elduave Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 DB, that's great! Can you tell us more about how the whole thing got hooked up?
Guest Meshuggah Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 More importantly, how did you get such massive color "density" in that first photo and still have such a high level of detail? It's beautifully done IMHO.
David B Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 DB, that's great! Can you tell us more about how the whole thing got hooked up?He's been painting about 5 years & decided to do some art showings. There are more shows upcoming in different areas. I read about it on his website. When was Paul in Charlotte? Details, please!May 4th & 5thMore importantly, how did you get such massive color "density" in that first photo and still have such a high level of detail? It's beautifully done IMHO.It was a shitty scan of a photo, so I tried to brighten it some.
