SteveB Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 This guy definately found some of the worst.http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/getback/1...ver-songnothingwhy do the Pussycat Dolls even bother singing? Shouldn't they just strip and get it over with?
Bjørn M Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I'm trying to decide wether to laugh or cry.
guymandude Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 The worst of those is the Duran Duran cover of a PE song. HILARIOUS!!
Thundernotes Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 None hold a candle to this version of ! Hip-hop remixes of anything and "country" versions of rock songs leave plenty to be desired.
Bjørn M Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 That's unfair! There's still hope for these guys
darc Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I heard that god-awful cover of In Your Eyes in a grocery store last week - and threw up in my mouth a little. To be fair, the original's a bit syrupy in the first place, but it's original and it's Peter Gabriel, and if you were 16 when it hit it might have been a little special to you. Hearing some dude strum away on an acoustic guitar and mewl away at those lyrics... it's like listening to some douchebag trying to get laid next to a campfire. At the grocery store. Puke.
BubbaVO Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Mine .... "Back in Black" Someone needs to pry the guitar out of my hands and promise to never play again. : )
MCChris Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Sheryl Crow's "Sweet Child O' Mine" is certainly among the worst ever.
edgar_allan_poe Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I would actually put The Cult's version of "Born to be Wild" behind only "Shook me all Night Long" in that list.
cmatthes Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I personally love the Cult's cover of that.I do think that David Lee Roth's bluegrass cover of "Jump" (from Late Night TV) is quite possibly THE WORST thing I've ever witnessed.I actually saw my skin crawl, I was so embarassed for him.
pesocaster Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 None more evil..... I needed to take a "shame shower" after seeing this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5D2pGsZhbo
SteveB Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 Shakira's version of Black and Black is pretty bad. Shakira looks alot better than Brian Johnson though. Band is pretty good. Hamer Newport wielding guitar player.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip8_aGOGAOM
Steve Haynie Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Pearl Jam's version of was an atrocity that only showcased Eddie Vedder's inability to sing beyond his two note moaning range.
lonote049 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I'm trying to decide wether to laugh or cry.Cry...definitely cry.
Submariner85 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Anything by Limp Bizkit. Just to name a few:Behind Blue Eyes FaithSanitariumCrap Crap Crap I hate Fred Durst

princeofdarkness56 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Big plus 1 on David Lee Roth's bluegrass period. I had the great misfortune of seeing him perform on two tv shows. I started to cry only after the shock wore off. It was like watching somebody jumping off a building.
Bjørn M Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Shania....oh baby...Shania And she still blows Mrs Dion out of the water. Tried to find a good live version of the best You Shook Me ever, but only found the studio version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIcjJyrmRe4
Siaip Ciuvas Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Heard Black Hole Sun remake in kind of ragtime style. Nearly puked. Not sure who did it though.
Stike Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 None more evil..... I needed to take a "shame shower" after seeing this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5D2pGsZhboThe first time I saw that I so wished I had been in the room with a high powered rifle.

Celine's air guitar is the best!!
Siaip Ciuvas Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 OH. MY. GOD... Look at Angus moves at 0:25. She is doing that on HIGH HEELS. Unbelievable. But air guitar is not a keeper stuff. They could use other camera angle to hide this Suprised myself to find that it sounded not as bad as I have expected
