Blitz vs Explorer

Can someone here put the features of the Blitz and the Explorer on a side-to-side comparison?

Also, are there any Blitzes with no tremolo system?

-- BTW, some Blitz porn will be very welcome! :D

Cool stuff! Thanks! I'll read it carefully...

I love my 82 blitz ...

"D" shaped mahogany neck with one piece mahogany body ... best neck shape I've ever played and the fretwork is incredible

SD SH-5 bridge pickup (that I added) sounds incredible ... none with more growl

came originally with non trem sustain block and was then kahlerized ... currently in the the process of being returned to stock

explorer body shape is just fantastic to play ... either sitting or standing

AFAIK the main difference between the Blitz and Standard is the neck joint and headstock.

Add I bought it for exactly $350! BEFORE I was aware of the long running HFC joke

My first good guitar was a Blitz way back in 1985. I absolutely adore the blitz. My back, on the other hand, despises the blitz. My back overruled my heart on this one. Go ahead, call me a wuss.

Wuss!

Actually, there are a few Blitz guitars out there without trems. I can think of a couple Sustain-blocked ones and the elusive double-bound, tangerine metalflake one that still hasn't surfaced in the close to 20 years since it was last hanging on the wall of my (then) local Hamer pusher.

Any pics of any of those?

BTW, what about a Blitz with no trem and a six-in-line headstock?

I have an 87 Blitz, hockey-stick headstock, sustain block, ebony board with trapezoid markers and in Candy Red. And it's not even a custom order!
