miragejake Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 I've finally got the Newport I've been longing for, which gives me more than one Hamer. I know everybody else probably has much more of a collection than me, but here are mine: No the whole brood:
Mindseyes Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 ok ill play !!!......my small herd-o-hamers
Punkavenger Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 notice the double zebras ... spray paint!
Caddie Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Well now, THAT didn't take very long now did it? What, did you shoot that pic this morn or last night? PS - Punk, the rest of your furniture awaits. No beer bottle circles...yet.
Caddie Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 notice the double zebras ... spray paint! FYI some HFC history. The Mesa 22+ came to me from RacerX several years ago , after a few years it was off to Punk who took delivery just yesterday. The Special FM came to me from hollowskull about a year ago (maybe 2 years ago) then off to Punk maybe what 6 months ago Punk? What an incestuous bunch of gear sluts we are, eh? caddie
Ethan Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 how did you cover over the pole pieces on the pickups to spray paint them like that?
Punkavenger Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 how did you cover over the pole pieces on the pickups to spray paint them like that?cut out little round dots of blue tape with an xacto knife of course!
bubs_42 Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Thats a nice addition, I can't wait to see your next one. Here is a few of mine. Love them all!
velorush Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 First photo of my two together. Wish I'd been able to set this up 20 minutes earlier as the sun had just gone over the horizon. I'm planning to swap the Special's pickups back to the "wrong" positions like it was when I got it. Aesthetics aside, they just sound better that way. Got some amber top hats for it coming from Greg on Monday (along with a checkerboard case ).

Nice job on the pickups Punkavenger...the guitar looks as good as it plays/sounds.
RacerX Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 notice the double zebras ... spray paint! FYI some HFC history. What an incestuous bunch of gear sluts we are, eh? caddie I thought I recognized that Boogie! When I did a double take and saw the cable set up I knew it was my old .22. What a great amp, typical Mesa gain with the sweetest clean side. She'll take 'yer head off too if nessassary. Glad to see it's getting a steady Hamer diet! Mark.
specialk Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 '91 Sunburst bought here on the HFC from a brother with more Hamers than he knows what to do with,
Sam Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 This thread is gonna fill up fast. My three: Gwayne, that Triple Threat is such a great piece. A classic...
melias Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Hello Hamer Fan Club, I am a photojournalist, who too often comes home and doesn't want to touch the cameras until my next assignment. But like the shoemaker's kids, who have no shoes, I have no pics of my Hamer. (But I don't have any pictures of my wife in my wallet, either.) After watching and waiting for too long, I got off my ass and made a photo of my import SATQ. But it's not just any SATQ. I asked Jol to massage it first. It took a dip in the corporate parts bin in New Hartford, and came up with US pots and knobs, a Tone Pro tune-o-matic style bridge set, US tuners, a pair of Seymour Duncan "59s" to replace the factory "Duncan-Designed" pups, and finally a fret dressing to make it a speed demon. Apparently a request to do this to some Hamer imports, comes in from time to time. best, Mark Elias West Palm Beach PS:Not one guitar was injured during the production of this photo. Just lots of photoshop.
atquinn Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Is that the SpucerPro up top? Anyway, for my hamer pics, check my sig. They change frequently and without notice -Austin
cmatthes Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 THat's one FINE looking Sunburst, Austin! Did you move your CU22 Soapbar?
Armitage Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 SOME of my USA Hamers; Actually not my picture, but it's identical. Seven Standards in a row.

Sentinel Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I've only got three. But, they´re all excellent guitars! (My collection only lacks a Talladega Pro, I guess?! )
