bubs_42 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Looking for used Cd's today and She caught my eye. Then the Title of the album was Loud Guitars/ Big Suspicions, and I gave it a shot. Great record from like 2000 I like it and it does have loud guitars!
JohnnyB Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I remember seeing pics of her posted on www.guitarsbyleo.com, the G&L appreciation website, about 10 years ago because she was playing a G&L ASAT sometimes (as below). All the current pics of her on her official website show her playing either a Tele thinline or a green top PRS. Haven't heard her stuff though.

Great stuff and I'll keep my eye out for more. I also picked up Chris Duarte Group's TEXAS SUGER.. another great record. These were not at least for me sure things. So I took a chance with both of them and I would recomend them to anyone.

As for Shannon, I'll definetly get another of her records to see what's she's up to now. That disc is from 2000 and I opened it up tonigh to look at the booklet and It's autographed. Someone must have bought it at a show.

Bloozguy Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I think she's originally from North Dakota and she plays quite a few shows in this area. A friend of mine has been on the same bill with her a few times and commented that she's developed a fairly good size booze and white powder habit and it's begun to affect both her attitude and her shows.I still like that album and her cover of "The Weight"...and I think she was only 14 or 15 when she did that one!

She was originally billed as the female Jonny Lang, I think they share a management company. He also had some substance issues and is now clean and attempting a new career as a "christian" artist.

Just so happened that I bought the new Johnny Lang Cd as well. Not digging it. It's not his playing its his voice that doesn't do it for me. Glad she cleaned up. She sounds good.
lonote049 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Years ago, we used to run an open stage blues jam in N. St. Paul and Shannon's mom used to bring her around when she was in town. She was really young, 14 or 15 if I remember correctly, but she sure could play. Speaking of Jonny Lang, his sister is on American Idol this year going by her real name, Jessica Langseth.
