Sam Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Hey all, I've got a line on a 25th Anniversary Artist, and I thought it would be interesting to see some of the limited models that reside on the HFC. Let's see what you've got!
crunchee Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 The frets look a bit small, but they're exactly the same as all my other Hamers (I am the original owner). I think it was just weird outdoor lighting that day.
atquinn Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 It's interesting, being a smaller custom(izable) builder, it would seem that a fair number of the guitars Hamer produces would be extremely limited editions of 1 . I know one of mine is. -Austin

DaveH Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Maybe not what you had in mind, but this piece is definitely a limited edition....there are only 10 or 12 in existence. I spoke with Kim about this, and that is what he told me. Someone had unthinkably had it routed for a P90 before I aquired it, so what can you do? Anyway, the Korina Eclipse:

WANT!!! -Jonathan Here's my 30th LTD
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Here is the only photo I have left of the TT that I bought from Music Machine, my first NEW guitar purchase in over 10 years. It is a gorgeous guitar. I couldn't get along with the noticeable taper of the neck (measurements taken from a LP of Dave's) but otherwise a stellar guitar. It is now owned by another HFC'r who digs the neck shape!
veatch Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Here's my 30th LTD Jonathan, How does the 30th compare to a stock Studio Custom tone-wise? I *love* the look of that guitar, and have wanted one for quite a while. Just curious if all the differences are asthetic or if it carries into the sound of the guitar. FWIW - Here's EM #10. Some day i'll take a decent pic of it.
nosajwp Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 All these pics make me want a redwood or Triple Threat really bad! I'm still kicking myself for missing the Iced Tea korina chambered Studio that was on eBay several weeks ago.

Just curious if all the differences are asthetic or if it carries into the sound of the guitar.I wish I could answer, but I've never played a stock Studio Custom. The closest I've had was an Archtop GT P90 (until I swapped out the P90's for minibuckers), which was a different animal. And being a minibucker/P90 kind of guy, the 30th is my least played guitar. It feels great to play, but I have little use for full sized humbuckers. Maybe I should have figured that out before I bought it! The chambers and antiquity pickups ought to make the differences more than cosmetic though.I like to keep it around for the jaw-drops it produces when I break it out! I'm sure EM 10 produces the same reaction!-Jonathan
santellavision Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Here's #30 of 30 Redwood (Since passed on to another HFC'r)
specialk Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 This has found a new home, but here is Special K #10:

Seriously, why don't you through some Phat Cats or something in there and try to make it more suited to you? It's a shame for a guitar like that to go unplayed. -Austin

By the time I actually get time to start playing again, maybe it will be in vogue! -Jonathan
Sam Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 Here's my 30th LTD That's the first 30th I've seen on the HFC (thanks for sharing). Do you know how many were made? Stunning. As featured in the designer gallery no less!
jwhitcomb3 Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 That's the first 30th I've seen on the HFC (thanks for sharing). Do you know how many were made? 30! Mine is #10.-Jonathan
Sam Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 30! Mine is #10.-JonathanI suppose the 25th Anni run must have been on a different scale altogether - they seem to be very common.

Well, there's the 25 Anniversary model, and then there's the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition. The LE was only 25 to 30 as well, if i recall. I think there are a couple up here. All of the guitars listed here are on my wish list (as in - i wish i had the money to buy all of these). As mighty Joe has sed, "i can't complain, but sometimes i still do..."
Sam Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 Well, there's the 25 Anniversary model, and then there's the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition. What's the spec on the LTD version? BTW, great looking EM you've got there. I want that! Sorry, couldn't resist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8h-R8FUKKI --
