They are the "rock cases" from Warwick and I realy like them, one of them has seen about 150 gigs and has held up verry well. What i love about them is the locking lids, I can fit all me cords and such in them rolled up nice and neat and its one less bag to drag around!!

I really like the switchers, but I am eagerly awaiting their Control Switcher so I can integrate amp channel switching into my 'presets' on the Commander. Mine: ..and a gutshot (needs some work!)

Why so you have it after all the modulation/delay?I don't use it after the delay, just by itself. I kinda' thought it might be easier to hit on the router if it was on the end. I probably should have put it 2nd, next to the Timmy as it should be ahead of the other time-based effects. I think I'll redo it. Thanks for noticing!

Feast your eyes on what happens when you have no board but get tired of setting up and tearing down pedals every gig/practice, find a can of high heat WalMart spray paint, an old bicycle chain and a piece of scrap 5/8 plywood under the house (JEM-inspired monkey grip): The backline is just a bit more upscale: an old Kenneth Cole briefcase from my days as a banker, more plywood and bicycle chain: The coiled tubing houses two 20' George-L's cables for the loop, another cable for the amp-to-frontline link and the cable for the amp's footswitch. I have about $2 (wood screws) in the whole rig. At the time this was put together I needed to throw something together quickly, but this has worked just fine so I haven't bothered it. I'll get around to that some day, but in the mean time it's super ghetto!

Thundernotes Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I built my own for my solo "acoustic" show. Used a mixer case and mounted plywood on aluminum rails. Most of the wiring goes underneath. The big footswitch operates my vocal harmonizer, and that's a kick-drum microphone to the right.

Is it all it's cracked up to be?+1 Brooks. you gotta let us know how that box is working for you.mikeworks great for me. i'm using it w/ the rush tribute project, so i set up the following patches;tight rhythm- "brown" amp (EVH) w/ noise gate.flange rhythm- "brown" amp (EVH) w/ flanger.lead- "brown" amp (EVH) w/ delay & volume boost.wha lead- "brown" amp (EVH) w/ wha (auto sweep), delay, & volume boost.clean chorus- brownface (old fender) amp w/ chorus and compressor.these get me thru most of alex lifesons tones.i tried all the other amp sims (vox, mesa, etc) but didn't care for them.i also have a few "fun" patches for shits and giggles(talkbox, harmonizer, etc) that i'll prolly never use in a gig/recording.i have yet to try recording w/ it, but i set it up to go direct to recording or PA,w/ 4x12 greenback cab sims & close mic'd sm57 sims;this is what it was designed for, and it's supposed to excell at it.you can split the signal so one output has cab & mic sims (direct to recording or PA),while the other doesn't (i send this to my SS carvin poweramp & vertical slant 2x12 cab).some folks say it doesn't "feel" like a tube amp. i messed w/ the "sag" and other tube amp variables, dunno how "real" it feels w/o doing a side by side comparison, i really don't care either. i like the sound.i really like having all the amp/cab/mic/FX sounds in one unit,w/ no tubes to replace. i'm prolly done as far as amps go.

All the video clips I have posted are axe-fx. What you are hearing is the axe-fx into Tubeworks poweramp. I have a Mesa Thiele with a mic on it. I have used it for recording direct, which is very easy. I don't have those clips unfortunately. They are at my friend's studio. It was a little tricky at first to understand how all the controls interact. But it didn't take long to get the hang of. I have always been a rack gear guy so I wasn't afraid of menus and scrolling.
