I've been rocking the same setup for about 3 years with no changes unless I break a switch or something. The Barber LTD can be replaced by any tubescreamer or low gain drive, but that one has stuck around for a while now. I also have a Green Russian big muff (bought new in the 90s) that I sometimes prefer to the 70s Op-Amp version which is pictured here.

I run this board into the LOW input on my Marhsall 2203 or 2204. I can't ask for anything more than that....it does everything I could ever dream of, and sounds great every night.

The signal chain is wah -> deja vibe -> LTD -> tuner (only place it fit) -> prescription experience (octave fuzz) -> Fulltone 69 (fuzzface) -> big muff -> delay

What are the advantages of running multiple fuzz devices in a single signal chain? Are the circuits 'different', and provide different flavors of fuzz you add/remove as-needed?

I have a Spaceman Gemini III that is so versatile, I can't see adding multiple fuzz units to a single circuit.

Yep the octave fuzz is just for a few moments in the set, the 69 (fuzzface) is my standard lead tone as it cleans up with my volume knob and has some dynamic elements, the big muff is for the super heavy, saturated stuff.

I don't stack the fuzzes, they are used 1 at a time.

One versicle fuzz wouldn't be too useful for me since I don't like to adjust on the fly. I have 3 distinct flavors that I can switch between quickly. I love fuzz!

This all for my rock / prog band. For my metal band I just use a tubescreamer into the high input of my JCM800. Done.

Huh....I check out the pedal/effects scene over at TGP and some guys over there have over 20 different fuzz pedals.....I'm starting to comprehend.....thx!

How many of them play out? I'm gonna guess almost zero.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. ;)

Although I have the size of the board that I want the board itself is not final. Most of the tones come from the Budda and now that I have a channel switcher for it, the Fuzz may come off to make room. I wouild like to add one more delay and a loop switch to pull a delay, bender and vibe in and out as one wet signal.

Signal path goes Guitar,Bosstone, Visual Sound Pure Tone(UNDER BOARD), Wah, Tuner Rhino, Lliama, Soul Vibe, Mind Bender (set to chorus) EH 1# Echo.

Everything is ran off a Power Pedal II. Thanks to all the Voodoo Lab Videos on Youtube I wired it up a few times and tried some recommendations and I really like it. The Soul Vibe sounds great but not with every guitar. I used it mainly with my Phantom.

Another Soul Vibe user! Cool! Loving that pedal lately. Got the same tuner too.

I bought it used at GC Online and its a really good Vibe. Some ASS stripped the screws out of the baseplate or welded them in one or the other. I need to adjust that trim pot a little to make it perfect to my ears.

There's a trim pot in there? Mine sounds great so I probably won't fuck with it.

Board 1 - the "church" board. Pretty minimal, but it has the tap tempo echo and a chorus if i really need it. The grey box has a bypass to, well, bypass everything and send the guitar straight to the amp. I likes it like that.

Board 2 - the "rawk" board. Use this for the classic rock band. Has all the fun stuff, mostly old shtuff i had knocking around.

Another thing the grey boxes do is allow me to connect the "church" board into the "rawk" board (after the Flanger and before the distortion). Just finished setting this up, and it seems to work well.

I can take either board on its own, or just grab both and chain them together. I don't have to pull or change anything in either board to do it, just connect one cable. Each has their own amp cable looped around the perimeter of the board. The church board has a short cable, the rawk board a long one.

What I need is a Channel switcher for me Budda with loop in it. So I can run Pedals 1-4 through channel 1 and 5-8 through channel 2. Anything out there like that?

I want to run a Fuzz,Vibe,Rotory,Delay through the Clean Channel and my OD's, 2nd Delay through the Overdrive Channel.

Funny you should mention this, bubs. I was looking for the same thing for my SD18 head and found the Loopbone from Radial Engineering.

The one minor downside is that you have to use their proprietary, 15v wallwart for power, or one of two power supplies from Cioks (DC10 and AC10) that are mountable underneath Pedaltrain boards...

Sux that all three of these handy devices are boutique-ily friggin' expensive.

Here's a lame-assed celly pic of the "mini-me" board:

I dig the BigShot Mix because it's built tough, has an adjustable FX-mix trimpot (50-100%) and the totally convenient "polarity" switch. This feature comes in handy when switching out different flangers (original MXR, Ibanez Airplane...) or adding phasers where their polarities might "thin-out" the signal a bit. Flick the switch and you're back in Fat City.

BTW, I've come to really rely on the Decimator to get the noise floor under control. The guitar goes to the first stage of the G-String and the loop in the second stage. ISP recommends putting delays and other time-based effects AFTER noise reduction but I find it works great in the loop.

How useful is that Detox EQ-thing? Saw it recently in the used corner of a shop but was unsure...

Depends on what amp it is used with. I use it to cut frequencies to get a "faux-clean channel" out of my Soldano HR50. Works great in that application, much more effective than "turning down the guitar's volume" to clean things up.

I actually haven't tried the BOOST function on the Detox, as I have that covered with my treble boosters, but I'm sure it would work fine. I think the key is that, besides the level increase/reduction, the bass/mid/treble boost/cut adds a different flavor than just an overall volume boost/cut. It's a cool pedal and kind of a sleeper. IMO, it has many applications for tone shaping.

With the Mojave Scorpion, not so much. That amp responds much better to futzing around with the guitar's volume/tone controls. Same with the Budda SD18, though that amp has a pretty jangly clean channel (my only ch/switcher), so it is not needed.

I'd say check out the used one if you feel it will apply to your amps. I like it, you may not...

That is the "This is all I really need board". I have limited myself to a PT1 and that includes putting the Wah on the board as well as the amps channel switcher.

I did order the Loop/Amp Switcher from the link I posted a few post earlier. It was around $70 shipped and I can't wait to get it. Something is going to have to come off the board, I need to get a pedal that will overdrive channel one to a nice crisp but crunchy blues tone. The Grande almost gets it there but the jump in volume is to much. So I'll need a pedal with two knobs. LOL

Hey Rob,

boy, do I have a mod for you, for the ADA flanger.... ;)

Nice to see one on a board.

I still have mine (25 years?) and use all the time. It is core.

Your way to quick to pat yourself on the back. I'm talking about the Clean Channel. The Grande is running into the dirty channel to boost it up. Hum, I think I should look for another Expandora to smack that clean channel in the face like the Bitch that it is. ;) I'm out of room on the board so the MindBender will have to go.

I have a Mind Bender, Green Rhino and a Keeley Loop Switch sitting on the table as I type that will need homes. I think i'm going to throw the Fuzz back on the board.

Rob and Jay all happy and smug with their vintage A/DA flangers. Colour me jealous boys...
