Eric Weston Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Damn Brooks, its good to hear you're OK (gonna be)I just saw this....gotta check in more often, I guess.
geoff_hartwell Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Happy to hear from you Brooks. Heal, and if this was caused by someone's idiocy on the road, take them to the fucking cleaners. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ + 1,000,000 Glad you're gonna pull through, but make that f*cker PAY for trying to kill you. (there's a song in there somewhere...) Geoff
BadgerDave Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Great to see you post, Brooks. I was getting in one of the last rides of the season today and thinking about you. My extra caution wasn't necessary - no douchebaggery observed this time. Hope the healing is quick and complete.
marcnorth Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Just read this myself too. There's plenty of dumb asses out on the road, sorry you had to meet one of them. Hope you have a speedy recovery and good to hear you're doing alright. I'll think about you and send good vibes when I burn down tonight.
sirDaniel Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 good vibes..remember: Get a student nurse assigned to you. Back rubs with lotion ARE part of their training.MEDICAL MARGARITTA::::have some lime wedges at the bedside. get some salt off the lunch tray. Just before they slam the IV pain drugs in, take the lime and salt and close your eyes... Think about whatever beach you want.
sledhead44 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Hey Brooks, Glad to see you back and posting on the board! Make that idiot driver pay and use it for a custom order guitar and a new bike!Dan
tommy p Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Man, that was a lot of pages to read through before seeing what I was looking for: a post from the man himself!Sorry to hear about this, Brooks. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
Jason01 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 As a fellow biker thats also been on the ass end of an ass kicking in a car vs. motorcycle accident I wish you good luck on a speedy recovery. Its no fun, thats for damn sure.
Bloozguy Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 From a fellow biker...Get well soon bro...and here's hoping you get the hot nurse to deal with the catheter Number 1 and 2 causes of MC accidents in Minnesota (and probably most everywhere else) are: deer and idiots in cars. Get a hell of a good personal injury attorney. If you don't know of one I can refer you to someone local that specializes in motorcycle stuff. Ray
Laura Press Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Hey Brooks,That sucks. Jon and l will call you tomorrow to talk.Laura
m chops Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Sometimes its a shame the way our legal system works. Wouldn't it be nice if the tortfeasor could be cathed as part of damages, perhaps with Louisville Slugger? Occasionally, there's something to be said for Sharia law.
Brooks Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 starting to get cabin fever!i've been surfing CL for another bike (ins check for my totaled bike is in the mail), but 1st i will rent something for a day just to make sure that i'm not too freaked out to ride (doubtful).i'm over the gear chase, but might treat myself when the pain & suffering money lands.i'm thinking something simple and toneful, prolly a hamer jr and a marshall class5.
