coolfeel Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I have a custom order in for a Hamer Chaparral Custom Custom Custom that I placed with Elduave at Rocketeria. I believe all woods and parts are in now... As far as I can tell, they are there, ready and waiting for our orders.

coolfeel Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I think 3 months might be about right for most custom orders. The build time for mine will be longer. It is an exciting process ordering and then waiting. This should be an interesting next few months seeing some of these custom orders roll out of the shop. I can not wait to see mine and the rest of the cool guitars they are producing.
veatch Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 If it's three months, they're getting much, much quicker. Mine was around 9 months, if i recall correctly...Not complaining, mind you. Well *well* worth the wait.

Jeez, it's not like he can't sell guitars without semi-misleading hype. He really should correct that.
Feynman Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 No Hamers on my map, but I have been cooking up a killer reverse V with Danzig Guitars. I'm thinking dark green, gold hardware, Kahler, dot inlays, only the headstock bound, and four single coils.

hamerhead Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I thought tumbling boomers were never evereverevereverevereverever going to happen again. That is too f***ing cool. I can't wait to see it.

Jeez, it's not like he can't sell guitars without semi-misleading hype. He really should correct that.FWIW, that's not exactly how they word it. It's:"The last of the remaining warehoused Hamer's are here."Which to me, means they had something to say and hype, but they gave it thought and used words that *wouldn't* make it sound like "these are the last Hamer's ever".
cmatthes Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 FWIW, that's not exactly how they word it. It's:"The last of the remaining warehoused Hamer's are here." Which to me, means they had something to say and hype, but they gave it thought and used words that *wouldn't* make it sound like "these are the last Hamer's ever". Much better!

And that is good. But clicketycklick on the link http://www.willcuttguitars.com/the-last-hamer-guitars And it says : "The Last USA Hamer Guitars (38) You Are Here >> The Last USA Hamer Guitars " FCUK, a new Steve Stevens II being made right now. How cooool is that. Back to the glory of the 80's I want a full tone report on that one. Pics down to the last detail, and I also want you to play Polk salad Annie on it and send a youtube link. SSII cheez, who woulda thought.... Great news.
mirrorimij Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I thought tumbling boomers were never evereverevereverevereverever going to happen again.Never say never with Hamer USA. Chapps, SS models, who knows what else. All the naysayers can now open their wallets.Agreed on the Willcutt's ad. They shouldn't have to do that. Hamer USA is a fine product and they are a reputable dealer. It makes me scratch my head and wonder what went wrong. Lesser brands get MUCH more respect. Hats off to Frank, Dave, Mike, Kim and the rest of the gang for keeping it going.

diablo175 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Old news but I got an '89 Cali Elite that was a project for another member here. I'm putting a reverse head stock- ed neck from another Cali on it, it's gonna get a Mike Learn airbrush finish (including headstock and pups), SD Blackout Metal & AS-1, new Schaller Floyd, 3 way toggle in place of the blade switch & Schaller strap locks.
