kevinbower1959 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 My band's new video hit YouTube yesterday - around 22 hours ago, to be exact. More than 11,000 hits and almost 300 comments already can't be wrong. But be warned - we're a band who provoke quite a strong reaction - you'll either love us or hate us, and the nature and language used by some posters is a little savoury, to say the least. Enjoy.......
RobB Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Good one on ya, Kev. Tight, BAND sound/production. Don't give no mind to poster's "comments." Fuck em. You're still out there 30+ years after the "Friday Rock Show"/NWOBHM, and not many musicians can claim that. For the metalheads of my crowd back in the day in L.A., CA., Paralex, Samson, Angelwitch, Hell, Diamond Head, Maiden, Sweet Savage, Saxon, Motorhead, Venom, Blitzkrieg, Holocaust, et. al., stood as "our bands" that championed True Metal. It was as underground as one could find for those who never embraced Hair Bands.Good luck with your music and I hope to see you someday, in person, playing on the West Coast.
zorrow Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I f%@# LOVE it, man! I'm getting your new album for sure. I'm a big fan of Mercyful Fate and King Diamond, and this stuff certainly has something to do with what I like. Sadly, never knew about your band HELL until very recently, but it's never too late...BTW Kev, now you're here... Do you plan to release Japan bonus tracks for the new album, or a limited edition, or something like that?Rock on and thanks a lot for the coming back --or else I've had never been aware of the existence of your band.Cheers!
kevinbower1959 Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 Thanks guys - those comments mean a lot coming from you.Zorrow - there will be 2 versions of the CD - the standard one, plus a 2CD Digipak which contains a bonus CD with remastered versions of our old mono Philips fliptop cassette rehearsal tapes, along with a 30-page booklet dealing with the band's history.Plus - for the real old-school analogue lovers, Nuclear Blast are also releasing this as a limited-edition 180-gram coloured vinyl triple album with a great old-school fold-out sleeve, lots of colour and other cool stuff.Release date is May 13 in Europe and May 17 in the US. coolfeel Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Very well executed...The riffs take me back to british metal and are spectacular. You guys are sickly talented.
Jorge Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Great music, great playing, great Hamer. Congratulations.
princeofdarkness56 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Now that's how it's suppose to be done. Really tight playing, heavy riffage and nice not to hear a lead singer making growls and passing it off as vocals.
Steve Haynie Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 As soon as the new album is out I am going to buy it!
BlueRedWhite Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 oh this is awesome!!!!LOVE all of it: the music, the guitars, the video, the perfomance!!!!!!Looking forward to the CD as well!!!!Rock on!!!!!
Jason01 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 If it isn't pissing people off it isn't metal. I'd be more worried when you don't get that kind of a reaction out of people. Very nice job man, I wish I could pull that off.
Crwth145 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 You guys are goin' straight to... wait... you're already there! Great job!
Dasein Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Fun stuff --- a little crazy to see old guys dressed as young guys (but I gather that was the intent) - I thought at first it was My Chemical Romance aged progressed doing metal. I think of a couple things --- first "what should old metal guys dress like?" I had to think.... the closest I came was "dusty"? That might be cool to do as a sight gag --- dressed old and dusty --- with limbs and stuff falling off around you --- stuff breaking --- literally falling apart.... anyway....Just good bloody fun.Now for the bad: The singer looks like the bastard who was sleeping with my ex-wife (when she was known as my wife) .... I hate that guy. Even after 14 years I hate him still..... So i'm watching you and doing internet research now. If your singer just disappears one day you'll know why.

Scottcrud Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Love it Kevin! Good for you man. When we make our video I'll be wearing my 1980 Special, WE WILL bring Hamers back to metal!

It wasn't him, you have my word. I know every chick he's ever been involved with. Besides, he's gay. Someone on YouTube said that, so it must be true
serial Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 VERY cool! I haven't been huge into metal since the early 80s-most of it bores me, but I HAD to watch the whole video-really dug the tune.Only negative comment I could possibly muster is that I don't like your guy's bass. Great performance.
