JohnnyB Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 All on 180g or 200g vinyl, remastered from the original analog tapes (except Plant/Krauss is probably digital): The unlikely pairing of Plant & Krauss is crazy-good. No wonder--produced by T-Bone Burnett.

gorch Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Recent buy was Queen II from the new re-issue series. I only had the old AAD compilation CD before and the original long player of course. The new digital reissue is a great improvement sound wise. Then, Ali Neander's self titled debut playing Jazzrock. He's quite known in Germany, having about 50 CDs on his count being involved with.PSP, Simon Phillips, Pino Paladino, and Phillip Saisse. Jazz style with not only exceptional drum playing. Live recording and highly dynamic. I've been to the show. It has been an experience. Just found a gallery from the show I've been:http://www.musiktheater-rex.de/galerie/dis...m=206&pos=0Aynsley Lister - Tower Sessions, a very nice live recording session without audience. Blues for sure. It contains an exceptional interpretation of Purple Rain about 10 minutes long.Kerry Ellis - Anthems, lots of Brian May guitar playing with a haunting voice. Kerry being an experienced musical singer have been selected for the first set performing the WWR musical in London. Musical style anthem oriented singing, highly dynamic.

Been thinking about buying that one for a little while already. Brian May is my preferred guitar player ever, but I don't know why I hesitate so much in buying Kerry's album.

I bought from a seller cheap through Amazon. It has great songs on it just as you'd expect them written from Brian. I think the album is strong from the beginning getting a bit kitschy towards the end. It's that musical style heroic singing that defines the album title and you may like or not. I am not listening to it everyday though. Kerry definitely has a dramatic voice, listening the album loud literally lets windows burst.
