crunchee Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Like the title says...I'm surprised no one mentioned it, about 45 minutes left before it hits TV unless you live on the West Coast. It was webcasted earlier tonight, though.http://www.cbs.com/shows/liveonletterman/
hrtatak Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 You can still watch it if you follow this link....http://www.cbs.com/shows/liveonletterman/artist/190885/kiss/They usually keep the shows available online for quite awhile.
LordOfTheThighs Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I watched it while it was being streamed live. I thought itRAWKED. They closed with Deuce, played Got To Choose, and Strutter. Good stuff.
diablo175 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 They're playing ABC's Good Morning America this am....
Steve Haynie Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Look at all the people with their cell phones out getting video. KISS is playing right in front of them-- live-- and they concentrate on their phones more than the band. It never occurs to any of them that there are professional cameramen getting the whole thing on video. If someone just pointed their phone/camera at the video monitors they would end up with perfect shots. This whole "life through my cell phone" thing is going to get to the point where someone meets a celebrity and never looks at the famous person, just the little screen on the back of the cell phone.

It gets in the way of the experience and even the memory of the event.I look at photos that I've taken in the past and, while I remember taking the pictures like it was yesterday, I don't remember experiencing the event itself.

Some things just BEG to be documented. Like this event yesterday: Jumping out of a Boeing B-17 E Flying Fortress. The shot below was made by my helmet cam and in no way interfered with the enjoyment I experienced.

Otherwise there's just no way.
murkat Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 ^ that would have been something. envy. Being an ol Kiss fan, I noticed something that I have not seen, heard for quite some time. Paul is "out front" again, as should be, and His guitar is out front as well. Refreshing. And the Bass player is just that... with some songs... was nice.

I didn't think too much about it at the time as I haven't followed KISS that closely lately, but you're right! P.S. I'd rather LAND in a B-17G (it's a G but probably painted up like a E model, the chin turret and cheek gun positions are a dead giveaway), than miss out on half the flight!

It was a G built in 1945 but never engaged in combat bombing missions- it was then "recommissioned" as the 9-0-9 which did complete 150 missions and was a E class Fortress. I guess it depends on your perspective- to me, I got the best of both worlds- got to take off and fly in a WW2 era B-17 and then I got to indulge in my 2nd most favorite activity- skydiving from said B-17. I'd take skydiving over flying around any day of the week and twice on Sundays... The only thing that could've made it better were if they were piping Detroit Rock City thru speakers in the 9-0-9!!!

I think in your case, the equivalent to what Kiz and Haynie are talking about would be snapping pics with your smart phone so you could impress your friends by posting them on Facebook and forgetting to pull the fucking rip cord.
kizanski Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Thank you.The Muse always know the right thing to say. But then he IS a professional.You.Complete.Me.
Submariner85 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I have it recorded. Going to watch it some time tonight after the Reds.
