Steve Haynie Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Someone buy this and keep it in the family.
diablo175 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 If that had crowns & I could get away with Floyding it (ducking to avoid thrown objects) I'd consider it!
RichRS6 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 It's already been Floyded once and semi returned to stock hasn't it
Hamer Dave Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 It was Floyd'd and put back, in description. And talks about additional routing for the floyd visible, and locking nut removed. So the screws/bolts were in at one time.
Steve Haynie Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 But it ain't pink!murkat can fix that.
cmatthes Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I believe that exact guitar was at Duncan Music in Winston-Salem back in 1985-86. Pre-Floyd, of course.

cmatthes Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Maybe both?! I played that guitar (or it's exact in every way identical twin) at Duncan Music a LOT. I had just gotten my Ferrari Red Special (w/Floyd) from Sam Moss Guitars, and somebody told me that there was a Flametop Hamer at Duncan. It was about $100 more than my Special cost me, but they didn't want to trade for another Hamer. Duncan was primarily a band instrument oriented shop that just happened to have a few cool guitars on occasion. I started to scrape my meager beer money savings together to make a play for that Sunburst (or, again, it's twin), but it eventually sold. I remember not digging the trem on that one, and thinking it would be a great candidate for a Kahler or a Floyd down the road.
bruce919 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Does anyone know who did the work on the guitar? filling the the holes for the locking nut?
Steve Haynie Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 When listing the first set of Wyldbil guitars the seller told me that he was trying to round up the correct hardware for at least one of the guitars. He may be doing the work or having it done. Ask him.
serial Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I believe that's one I owned for years. I removed the Floyd and reinstalled the trem, but it had the arm. Not sure if I filled the holes from the nut, but likely. I restored a few dozen modded Hamers to original spec in the 90s/early 00s. The pics don't do that finish justice.
