FrankieIII Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I especially love the fabulous example of the looser/flimsy action of the vintage tremelo (versus Floyd) while he's dive bombing:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzzGWK5F_Lk
tommy p Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Cool! I've got some old bootlegs with slightly altered versions like that one, but that's the best sound quality I've ever heard.
Ting Ho Dung Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Nah! that 14 year old girl showed more feeling than this wannabe. He better not quit his day job at the pizza delivery shop.
Bobby Marshall Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 He came up with the piece before the album. The album version was produced and engineered and all that crap.I vote that if Eddie is playing it, it is always "correct". Although I know he has said he made a mistake on the album version. It is funny that 35 years after that album, it is still considered the water mark for having great technical ability and guitar prowess.Stick those youtube kiddies in front of a live audience and have them play in time with a real drummer. Not saying all of them couldn't do it but many would probably have an epic fail. I admit, Eddie's etude is fun to play though.

polara Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 It has what - IMHO (In My Hack Opinion) - makes him special. Chops sure, out the wazoo. But his playing sounds FUN, at least when he's having fun. It swings and bounces and jumps and dances.
