mouks Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hi, I'm new on this forum, I bought this guitar a long time ago in a small shop in Switzerland, I love it but I never tried to know more about it before. I'm glad I found this website with lots of informations, after some reading I think it is a '92 Centaura with reverted headstock, maple board and "Holoskull" finish options. Unfortunately the holograms went bad with the time and it's hard to see the skulls. Does someone know how rare it is ? I only see pics of Californians and Chaparrals with this paint. Thanks Fabrice
Disturber Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Never seen a Centaura with this custom graphic finish before. COOL!Centauras are my favourite floyded Hamer model. Extremely comfortable to play. Light and the sound awesome.
hamerhead Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Nice entrance. Welcome!First one I've ever seen.
DBraz Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Very nice Fabrice. If you end up selling it please let me know.
diablo175 Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Figured it was only a matter of time before someone went there. /\ Surprised it took this long...
svl Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Interesting fretboard markers- assuming this was a custom order, correct? Very cool.Edited to ask- how do holoskulls go bad?

Very cool.Edited to ask- how do holoskulls go bad?Very nice guitar!!!SVL-The holoskull holograms can get "frosted" over with time as the finish over the hologram had a bad reaction.Peter
carfish7 Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Interesting fretboard markers- assuming this was a custom order, correct? Very cool.Looks like the usual fretboard markers for a Cent....
cmatthes Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 The interesting thing is that the finish cost more than the guitar did!
MCChris Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Whoah. You know it's a cool piece when Steve reacts this way.
tomteriffic Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Whoah. You know it's a cool piece when Steve reacts this way./\ This right here.
veatch Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 ^ This. And Welcome! Great place to hang out and discuss Hamers and such. With a guitar like that, you should be pretty comfortabe around here.
mouks Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 Thanks for your comments ! Judging by your replies there must not be a lot of guitars like this. Very nice Fabrice. If you end up selling it please let me know. Haha thanks, you are not the first one to ask, a friend wants to buy it for years, but It's my only guitar and I never tried a better one, so I'm keeping it ! Interesting fretboard markers- assuming this was a custom order, correct? Very cool. Edited to ask- how do holoskulls go bad? Very nice guitar!!! SVL-The holoskull holograms can get "frosted" over with time as the finish over the hologram had a bad reaction. Peter Exactly, Peter explained better than me, I can take some pictures of the holograms if you want. I think the markers are the same as on other Centauras, the guitar must have been custom ordered by someone, I bought it used but in very good shape in 2001 for 900 CHF ( about 600 USD at the time ), I think it was a good deal!
