cwgatti Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 OK. Thank you, I will try to keep my bumps to a minimum. Why don't you buy it and I will stop bumping?
coolfeel Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 OK. Thank you, I will try to keep my bumps to a minimum. Why don't you buy it and I will stop bumping? You know, Diablo, he has a point. Why not reach into those deep cali coffers of yours and bring home another cousin?
diablo175 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 OK. Thank you, I will try to keep my bumps to a minimum. Why don't you buy it and I will stop bumping? You know, Diablo, he has a point. Why not reach into those deep cali coffers of yours and bring home another cousin? Now come on, Cool, you know my Cali love extends to the fully Boomer-ed and reverse head stocked. This one doesn't need a cousin:
coolfeel Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Yah, that one can stand all by itself - no doubt... looking all kinds of kick ass. Stay tuned a little later this evening and you might see the unveiling of a sutiable cousin, however...
diablo175 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 cwgatti- sorry for the derail. Hope the sale overseas goes well. Paypal will cover your ass to a degree and if it's any consolation, I've had numerous successful sales overseas. Cool- yer killin' me.
cwgatti Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Hey diablo, you buy mine, get a saw and some glue and you can make an "Uncle Dick"
cwgatti Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 If i couldn't see it standing right in front of you, how the hell am I gonna see it on the interweb?
cwgatti Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Oh geez. Please don't post a pic of your "Uncle Dick"http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/msg/4152522753.html
coolfeel Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Well at least he didn't say he had your Uncle('s) Dick here...
diablo175 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Damn Cool, you had take it there? Had to keep it metaphorical. It's all fun and games until some gets an eye poked out.
cwgatti Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Seriously, thanks for the tips on the international buyers. Looks like I may have a good buyer ready to make a deal. I have one minimal offer, but a few guys waiting for the end make arun. I am feeling pretty good. I bet I get $1300-1400.
cwgatti Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 LAST DAY!!! She finds a new home tonight. Good luck bidding....http://www.ebay.com/itm/161143924580?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
cwgatti Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 SOLD!!!! Farewell Hamer boards. I sold my last Hamer today. To all those here that bought them, thank you. I hope you enjoy them.I certainly did.
JustKid Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Wow. I offered 1150 no fees/personal pickup several times and was refused. This is really strange, considering 13% ebay/pp fees and all.Anyway...good luck on your new ventures.
MCChris Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Dice were rolled, gambles were lost.Vaya con Dios!
cwgatti Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 I was tired of lowballers. I thought I could live with anything over a grand. This guy got a great guitar at a fantastic price. I have sold 5 Hamers this year and everyone was a bargain. There is another one very similar to mine that you can get for $1950.
JustKid Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I wouldn't call "lowballer" a person, who offered you more than a market value (and a market value at hand turned out to be 1025), the comfort of practical cash and a personal pickup. Do not get me wrong, I have absolutely no hard feelings at all. I picked up two great Calis from Mark and Roger here ( thanks guys) in the last month. Might've gotten another one ( not a cali , but still), but should let the things to cool down a bit, cause my lady was about to boil my nuts. And, ouch, can't believe I missed that red maple one in Germany , something happened and bid didn't go thru and it ended at $1100...bummer...so much for rising prices. But as I always say - If something came up on ebay, it'll come up again and even cheaper, just have to be patient.
vitass Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 take this one http://forum.guitarplayer.ru/index.php?topic=288011.0
cwgatti Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Ebay was easier. Meeting someone, devoting time and showing the guitar would cost me more than just putting it on ebay. It also made it fair for everyone. I learned a lesson early in business: "It is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it." In this case it was $1,174 (less fees). ...and I didn't have to bring a billy club with me like I did the time I bought my Mesa off of Craigslist!!! Meeting of Exit 70 on the L.I.E. isn't my idea of doing good business.
vitass Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Very weird color for Cali. Re-paint?no idea, not mine..
cwgatti Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 Ebay deal appears to have fallen through...
