Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Awesome post - beautiful bass. You are both lucky to have had each other as brothers.I'm sure he's thrilled that its being cared for so well by his brother.
Ting Ho Dung Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Great tribute, Mike. I know you were close to Joey and I also know what you mean about a fragrance suddenly taking you back to a memory of him. That's a seriously beautiful guitar. But to make your tribute complete, you need a Chinese Alligator in your pool. I could pull some strings and possibly get you one.
kizanski Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 But to make your tribute complete, you need a Chinese Alligator in your pool. I could pull some strings and possibly get you one. LOL! No thanks! Got rid of all of the reptiles. Thank Christ.
Lockbody Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/topic/19391-grade-this-for-me-please/?p=211656WOW! Going back in that thread a few posts tells me that I got to the HFC a couple years too late. Or maybe not.I joined this board in 2000 and felt the same way then! There have definitely been some characters on here through the years, that's for sure.Kiz, that was a very touching tribute, and what a bass!. Thanks for posting.
rj2858 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 It's funny how a smell can bring you back, and usually before you're prepared for it, if that's even possible, there was a feeling of nostalgia, familiarity and even comfort that billowed out of it. I'd know that smell 50 years from now. Seeing as this was a sincere, heartfelt post, AND, since some people here don't always get that I'm usually trying to throw out something that will elicit a laugh, someone please let me know when an appropriate amount of time has gone by, so I can release the joke that's been eating me up since I first read this part of Mikes' post. Caution! - It has something to do with being in your teens / early 20's, and waking up the morning after a date.
