Jack – A buddy that lives down the street, he has been busy and I have been busy lately so we have been out of touch for a while. But blackmagic is one of the best guys you will ever meet. Fun, LOUD, opinionated, and absolutely harmless…he cracks me up, and drives me crazy. But I love him.

X2. great guy, very hospitable. sold him my Diablo, then we sat outside talking gear and music until my bald dome was crimson red. then a month or so later got rained on for a couple hours (then burnt again later in the day) at Ozzfest in Pittsburgh...

2. Get home from work a couple of weeks ago and a package is on the front step. It's a framed 8x10 of a shot Kiz snapped in the Barataria swamp south of New Orleans in August during our little romp through Cajun land. I'm getting a new frame for it (USPS busted the frame) and it's destined for the foyer at my office.

For those of you who have no idea what he's talking about (which would be most of you, I'd imagine), this is the Barataria Swamp.

We have swamp land here in New Jersey, but it ain't quite the same...

The Barataria Swamp is the home of some of the most beautiful sights you will ever see, and conversely, it is populated by some of the nastiest insects on Earth: spiders the size of your hand, mosquiteos with air traffic controllers and crickets that could knock over your beer can.

It was miserably hot and humid and I was bitching about it the whole time, but the colder it gets here, the more I miss it. I had the time of my life with two of my very best friends - "Louisiana Style."

Here's a view of the Atchafalaya Swamp, taken while tooling about with Chris Wilder and Jeff R.

AWESOME!

An over-exposed photo of the Blind River" taken through the open window of JeffR's state vehicle. (For those of you that have heard (or read) thecajunboy mention "Pullin' yo drunk ass out da Blind Rivah," this would be the place he's referring to).

Met a bunch of cool people and have even gotten the chance to hang out with a few of them.

Been able to get some killer info and advice on gear as well as tons of other stuff.

Received some great support when our favorite dog in the world succumbed to cancer. Martin-uk even went out of his way to send a book to cheer us up.

Thanks again!!

Got to jam and hang out with John (ZR) and Kevin (Jack Butler) what a blast.

I think it's about time for another one. Hasn't it been almost two years since the last one?

John also re-biased my amp after a tube swap. Thanks again bro. John’s good people.

All of the transactions I've done with HFC'ers have been very smooth, buying, selling or trading.

HFC rocks!!!!

Tombo and his wife took me to the hospital on New Years Eve one year when I was extremely ill. They dropped off the kids at the in-laws, found a hospital that would take me, (in Japan, most hospitals are on skeleton crews and closed downstairs on NYE), then stayed with me until all 3 IV's were in me. They left at 11:50pm, as I was falling asleep. Tombo returned to make a translation sheet for the nurses and myself, as it was all medical Japanese and my Japanese was pretty lousy at the time. He came by every few days and the family even bought me hospital clothes, as I never wear pajamas.

I met Tombo one day by chance at a guitar shop in town a few years ago. We have been laughing and constantly bickering for a few years now. He is a good egg.

Geezzz..I really don't even know where to properly start....all of this is listed in no specific order and if I miss or forget ANYTHING and it comes to me, I'll have to amend, edit or repost...

FRIENDSHIP!!!!!!!!!!

Then there's when I was beginning/having a huge bout with the cancer and all the bills and just trying to keep a roof over my kids' heads and food in their bellies..I had started to move all my gear..throw in the towel on the only real job I ever had and call it a day..most everyone here and I mean EVERYONE started to help and call and e-mail and send money and checks..it still today is something I can't fully comprehend..the complete selfless way that you all came to my aid..especially after I had disappeared and shut everyone out; thinking that I'd keep this to myself and just deal with whatever may have happened on my own.

An incredibly HUGE and never ending amount of love and respect and everyone here and I mean everyone.

Not only am I forever thankful and endebted to this forum and its members..so are my three children and their lives are better for it and for me being here.

Thanks even further to HHB and others for convincing me that I needed to air out that I even have cancer and that I needed to talk about it. It was extremely scary for whatever reasons...but getting it out and talking/typing about it has made dealing with it so much more easier.

Thanks to anyone and everyone who has ever taken the time to listen to weedly meedly mp3s or gotten a copy of the Intelli-Shred manual or just passed along a kind word or thought or prayer...

This place is full of friends and extended family...

Poe..hanging with you was all my pleasure..we WILL do it again sometime!

BCR Greg...I'll never forget the great Hotel Lobby Sofa Summit of Winter Namm!

Junkee..I found someone who sense of humor matches mine..lol!

I got introduced to HamStd by having him basically ride in my lap on a rather cramped ride to a Shredfest at the Galaxy...

ZR even had me into his home along with Jettster for a day of guitars and brotherhood and fed us to boot!

Mobbie and I could sit and have these long intellectual converstations just about anytime..anywhere..

Matt Smith has helped so much with advice and friendship and just being accessable and easy to talk to at the drop of a hat..despite his extremely busy schedule..

Mr. GG/Colin..thanks for being one of those that gets "it"..the whole over the top and fun and dress up funny and let it all hang out there in the wind guys!

HHB: I know I already said thanks..but you've helped out in so many areas..Thank you sir, again.

So many to remember and right now my brain is swirling round and round..

I've gotten so much from so many here.. that you can't even name or put a monetary value on..and then theres been compassion and caring..understanding and acceptance..advice and as important as anything else..smiles and laughter.

Thanks always sounds so small..but I do thank you all..I honestly do love each and every one of you crazies.

Friendship from Brian (DEMENTED)..oh and BLUE....Jam a CEEB's place....Just meeting incredible players like, silentman, hollowskull, armitage, teleman, etc...at the jam was a very cool experience for me. Cool guitars and cool people. C1hamerplus (Greg) for coming to my show in the freezing cold and digging every minute of it was very cool. JackButler (we all know your real name) for the lesson. It helped alot and I never did write you back about it..although I still need to actually practice it more.....;) Lots of cool deals for guitars, pedals, etc...(lordsofthejungle for my monaco/duotone trade deal....I hope you are still happy with the amp, cuz i MISS IT!) and yous guys putting up with stupid questions from me.

This place is my daily home. You guys make me laugh my ass off sometimes and get me pissed off on the next thread..(which is cool as well) but either way...I am sure if any one of us met face to face we would have a blast.

Also, thanks Ted and CMatthes and all of the others that do all the work here, I know I have said I would do some work to help and havent had the time do to so. I am sorry for that, and promise to try to make time for it in the coming year. Also, thanks for organizing the Tee-s. I haven't played a show yet this year without rocking the HFC shirts.

THanks to all you fools ;)
