It's not a Diablo II as no middle pickup, but a Diablo Ltd, Ed.

These were made for the UK (Trace Elliot) in1993 and there are 20 of them. Nicer body wood, cherry sunburst and bird's-eye maple neck. The toggle switch instead of a blade is another nice touch.

This is the first time I noticed the toggle switch (instead of the usual 3-way blade). These also all had non-reverse headstocks, unlike stock Diablos.

Thanks for the response, guys. Most helpful. Except for Cynic, of course. I'm sure the 'kid' that wrote the very neat inscription on the back of the headstock was suitably reprimanded :P

Oh, and it should be 'Whose kid...' :P

Yep, non reverse headstock was new at the time, but then Hamer went all non-reverse for the Diablo I and II in 1994-5.

Also, they made a few more very similar Diablos without the inscription. So slightly less limited than the inscription might suggest.

Looks good! Not sure if the intonation is really set right though...

Intonation? What's that?

Finding a couple of old Cash Converters and eBay auctions, perhaps £450 is a bit rich, although it did look in very nice shape, plus the 'special edition' upgrades.

Nobody here owning up to getting it?

If anyone in the UK might be looking to sell one, I could be interested. Probably put a WTB up soon, after checking funds/permissions!
