RichRS6 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I'd love the Marshall but by the time it got here with customs and postage it would probably be cheaper to find one in the U.K. GLWS.

Guest gearwhore Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I'd love the Marshall but by the time it got here with customs and postage it would probably be cheaper to find one in the U.K. GLWS.the amp is made in UK...and its used...you have to pay import regardless of where it is made or new or used?..we only pay import if the item is not made in usa and new...if it is used we pay nothing...I think i could get it to you for under $700 shipped
RichRS6 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Tempting, but U.K. customs will charge me anyway regardless of its country of origin.I could possibly argue it with them but that would drain the remaining life force from me.

Guest gearwhore Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Pics please some are buried..I will dig them out if there is strong interest...any one in particular you want to see..I have the junior and jcm900 and tiny terror living here in my office[/quote The traynor and mesa I have not come to the traynor yet I will post when I do.

I live 100 miles from Canada..its takes longer to send an amp to Winnipeg than it does to Russia
gtone Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Didn't you know that all Canada Customs workers are gearheads? They like to play everything that passes through, which is why it takes 8 days for shipments to clear Customs.

They like to play everything that passes through, which is why it takes 8 days for shipments to clear Customs. you mean they take it home and tour with it for 8 weeks...of 50+ shipments north...only one has sat in customs less than a month, the rest are 6-12 weeks..most around 6 weeks. I can get stuff to Australia in 6 days..3 weeks to brazil...3-5 weeks to europe and 4-5 weeks to remote russia. shipments to CA should be like norm CONUS shipments...the last part I sent Winnipeg took 3 months..snow was gone by the time the part got there.

At the NY-QC border there are some who would happily talk guitars, pedals and amps. However, I never thought they could be trying stuff for real. WOW!
