atomicwash Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 In my recent Hamer hunt, I found these NOS guitars. http://www.lightningjoes.com/
hamerhead Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 The SB Standard and Studio are pretty nice. The quilt Newport is sick.
cmatthes Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Looks like we know where some of the cool NAMM show Hamers ended up...
pirateflynn Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Been there and seen those beauties up close! They have a cool shop for sure.
atquinn Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Their website seems to have been made by a hyperactive teenager 10 years ago and, from what I have been able to discern, their pricing is ludicrous. But those are some cool looking guitars.-Austin
Michael_B Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Some real beauties, there. Especially the Tally.
Thundersteel Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 their pricing is ludicrous.Unfortunately, the law of Supply and Demand applies here. Still, it would be nice to afford another one!
Sugartune Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Drooling over the white Standard and the Studio Custom with TV Jones' in it.Shake it off...
gorch Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Plenty of nice guitars there. Are they supposed to sell?
atquinn Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 their pricing is ludicrous. Unfortunately, the law of Supply and Demand applies here. Still, it would be nice to afford another one! Is that the law that says "They who have the supply can demand whatever price they want"? In which case, that might explain why they've had that supply for so long - Austin
crunchee Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 You know you're in expensive territory when they hang them up with the Rickenbackers.
RichRS6 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 WowThe white standard WITH A SUSTAINBLOCK BRIDGE is FUCKING incredible!FixedAnd added.......So is the White Studio (?) also with a sustainblock.
sonic1974 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Their website seems to have been made by a hyperactive teenager 10 years ago and, from what I have been able to discern, their pricing is ludicrous. But those are some cool looking guitars.-AustinAustin is spot on! That website is hard to navigate. The white Studio Custom with sustain block bridge is something else, but they have it listed at $6950. I wonder how long they will keep those before finally lowering the prices?
RichRS6 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Looks like we know where some of the cool NAMM show Hamers ended up...Looks like half of them look like special orders or custom jobs, gold hardware, black binding, sustain blocks and does the second one in have TV Jones pick ups ?Nice stash.
Thundersteel Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 In which case, that might explain why they've had that supply for so long True that!
cmatthes Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 The "whitewashed" guitars were part of the NAMM Show display a few years back. They had done some for Tom Dumont, and did those (with Sustainblocks!) for the NAMM booth. Pretty danged cool!
django49 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 So far as I know, those prices have been the same for at least the past couple years.
gorch Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 They might not have a reason to come down on the prices. What are they actually?
crunchee Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Is a guitar considered 'vintage' at 20 years, or 25? Either way, that's probably what they'll be when they finally sell all of them.
