kizanski Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Leave it to you clowns to obsess on a fucking sweatshirt when magic is happening in front of your eyes.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Kiz, All joking aside, you are correct - its ALL magical in that shop and we all know it. We dissect every little detail of these photos to fully soak it in and then involuntarily smile - including the swag he's teasing us with there. I'm just thrilled shitless any/all of this ever came to fruition and IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING. Logoed gear just makes it even more real after years of seeing the cool "H" swag all over the place. Sorry for that swag diversion - now back to your regularly scheduled Ultimate shop magic.
mrjamiam Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Speaking for myself, I have assurance from the Ultimate authority that the magic is coming my way (eventually), so I'm fairly relaxed about that. The swag, not so much.
DBraz Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Definitely my favourite selection of update pictures to date. Awesome work Mike.
Jakeboy Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Most glorious!!! The scraping of the binding has begun!
a.bandini Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Just lovely,Mike! Thanks for these updates!
HSB0531 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 If anyone here has the Hamer DVD from around 2004, it shows Mike doing Abalone inlays around the edged of the guitar body. Each one is inlayed like pieces of a puzzle. It takes a lot of skill and patience to do that.It also shows him carving/sculpting the maple tops.Really amazing work.
DaveL Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 on a side note... nice job to whoever is taking the photos. they are capturing the vibe here really well.

Steve Haynie Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I need a zip up hoodie to replace the one I have. Either I get one with a band name or Shishkov. Tell me it is possible to get a hoodie.
The Shark Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 It shows him carving/sculpting the maple tops.Really amazing work. He's just warming up. This we know!
Feynman Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 What, does everyone but me understand what's going on in this photo? As a side note, Mike, buddy, luthier to luthier - that fretboard binding is a little too tall.
bubs_42 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 It is a little bit of a mind #$%^ since the fretboard blends a little with the mat.
BTMN Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Thought that too and my mind went HMMMMMM at the thought of the Future.
HSB0531 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 What, does everyone but me understand what's going on in this photo? As a side note, Mike, buddy, luthier to luthier - that fretboard binding is a little too tall. It's quite simple really: Mike is filing down the rubber mat.
