tbonesullivan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 And on the 8th day, God created this....
Caddie Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 $55k is the downpayment on this townhouse I'd like to buy. Does this guitar come with indoor plumbing?Cheers!caddie
HAMERMAN Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Wow! I love how the binding hasn't yellowed, must not have been around much smoke or sunlight over the years.
LucSulla Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Oh man oh man oh man...That's so fucking cool it makes my brain box hurt.
gorch Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Very nice! Does it have a particular story or has it been a case Queen for many years?
scottcald Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Holy Crap! I don't even see checking on that thing. Do you have a time machine and went back to 1960 to get this?
BCR Greg Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 I passed for now.Disclosure was not readliy offered..Perhaps later, I'll get it.Ah....the fun of the guitar biz..................................
polara Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Ouch. Sorry to hear, but maybe you dodged a bullet there?
tbonesullivan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 If they fudge on disclosure that's never a good sign. Sure it looks good but who knows what has happened to it in over 50 years.
devrock Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Man....even if I had a billion on hand, I don't think I could ever stomach coughing up that kind of coin for a guitar.
Caddie Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Wow! I love how the binding hasn't yellowed, must not have been around much smoke or sunlight over the years.Hmmmm... I too was born in '58, haven't smoked, and my teeth have not seen much sunlight, but my teeth have yellowed nicely. Must be the coffee. '58 caddie. No chips thru the finish. All original electronics & hardware. One headstock repair. Very solid. $66k obo
hamerhead Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 '58 caddie. No chips thru the finish. All original electronics & hardware. One headstock repair. Very solid. $66k oboIt's that headstock repair that kills your value. You'll be lucky to fetch $16.5.
serial Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (Since the '58 is not available, I'm not thread-pissing) Here's my R7 BB 3PU-I think I could let it go for less than $55k, but then again, it has yellowed binding...
Toadroller Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I like the hole in the case where the pup switch is.
