velorush Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 That's what I've been able to glean so far out of the 'celebration' posts.Let me know if:1. your number isn't listed or if you're not listed next to your number2. I mis-capitalized / mis-spelled your screen name3. I've got something else wrong4. all of the above
veatch Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Since the Short Circuit reference didn't stick, i'll try this: Or if you have kids, this girl: who is one after this guy:
velorush Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 Sorry, Veatch. I was scanning the posts and picking up only overt references and was oblivious to nuance. These taskmasters here at my employer continue to insist I produce for them as I try to tend to the HFC. Jeesh!
aknapp Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Other than Doak Walker, there aren't a lot a famous #37's - maybe Shishkov #0037 will put that number in the spotlight?
cynic Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 For #37 you need not look further than former Saint Steve Gleason. You couldn't find a better 37. For the record, I'm happy to swap Jerome Bettis for Steve Gleason.
aknapp Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I had originally posted a smart-ass comment about who Steve Gleason is, but after researching, thought it was in bad taste. And I'll stick with 37, thanx for the offer, though.
mrjamiam Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 37 was a key number in the movie "Clerks". At least that's what I always have pop into my mind when I hear or see it.
velorush Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 We're exactly half-way there (ETA: unless there are more than 46, that is). PMs welcome, thanks.ETAA: what will be really great is to eventually post a photo of each after delivery!
Jakeboy Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I do believe the first guitar will be #0000.I think CMatthes is 0004 but I will let him confirm or deny that.
The Shark Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 The most fun this thread will provide, knowing the characters that hang around here, will be the individuals that don't tell. We may never know...
BTMN Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I thought that too. There will be a few who will not fess up and I am Cool with that. We did threads like this on the Dean Forum for the D.O.A. guitars and basses and a few others like the P90Z and we never filled them in completely. I'm also very Cool with #16. I get a great vibe off the number 28 so 16 being 2 8s is right up there with my number fixation. BTW, RobB is #11.
serial Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Who said I was #0003?Not saying I am or not...
velorush Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Who said I was #0003? Not saying I am or not... Actually, you did. ETA: but if you'd rather not be listed I can certainly remove it. I have no vested interest other than curiosity. ETAA: I'm only accepting these numbers from the owners, themselves. I'm not putting up a name until the owner fesses up (and I'll take it down if they'd like a retraction...
bubs_42 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Who said I was #0003?Not saying I am or not...Actually, you did.ETA: but if you'd rather not be listed I can certainly remove it. I have no vested interest other than curiosity. DOH! LOL.
RobB Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 BTW, RobB is #11. Way to rat me out, Ratty McRatterton! Ah, well. It was worth it to erase all of your lame emoticons with my reply.
Boomerang~Junkie Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 While I understand and support the initial first run Ultimate owners' right to remain anonymous, that choice ignores an important aspect of this incredible opportunity. All ??????? (Fixed) of us are getting an unprecedented opportunity to buy a KICK ASS, top shelf guitar at a substantial discount. I'm betting Mike could do another run of 50 initial offer Ultimates and not cover all of the orders that are still leftover in his inbox. It is just my opinion ~ but in exchange for this unprecedented offer that I owe Mike an unbiased, articulate and thorough review (with photos) of his masterful work. This sort of PR via owner reviews is crucial for a new, small businesses to survive and thrive.Just MY opinion.
velorush Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 I stopped at 46 only because that was the highest number expressed so far. I have no idea how many there are. I also had no idea (or rather, didn't consider) there would be a 0000 until someone mentioned it. Glad to add however many numbers are revealed.
