tmsfo Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I'd never seen this before. What are the little knobs for?
tmsfo Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 I guess the colors were interchangeable. I can't find any other pictures.
kizanski Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 He had a Sunburst which had replaceable "faces" which were different countries' flags.
Steve Haynie Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Yup. The extra "knobs" are what screwed down the face plates.
cmatthes Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Nothing like not even being plugged in!Most TV appearances EVER have been that way.
tmsfo Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 I like the part where Tom just stops "playing" to push his sleeve up.
tobereeno Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 for a "simple" pop rock band, their instruments have always, always been standouts. cool-ass Sunburst. B12A bass. And anyone notice the very vintage and rare Rickenbacker that Zander is playing??
Grandturk Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Nothing like not even being plugged in! Most TV appearances EVER have been that way.Yup. But I still like to point it out
Hamerica Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 He had a Sunburst which had replaceable "faces" which were different countries' flags.I wonder if Rick still has that guitar and all the replaceable "faces"? ThanksBrian

Biz Prof Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Nothing like not even being plugged in! Most TV appearances EVER have been that way. Sure was common in the '80s. It was like the original version of "unplugged" long before Mtv made acoustic sets popular. I think even Dokken did this on, of all shows, American Bandstand. Egad!ETA: Yep...Dokken pantomimed on Dick Clark's show. Check out that Kramer neck on George's Bengal.
unfun75 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 All this time I thought the "A" in B12A stood for Jeff "A"ment.
Armitage Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I remember reading that Rick had a Hamer guitar made for every country he visited with their flag on it... it makes more sense the flag changed on one guitar.
Steve Haynie Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Well, yeah. You cannot possibly think Rick would travel with dozens of guitars to go to each country. Oh, wait a minute...
