donner Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Regarding all them happy NGD-posts containing early Sunbursts from 78 - 82 or so, lately, I started wondering: How many of these characteristic and highly intrinsic Hamer models may be in possession within the HFC? Seems, that everybody has to have one sooner or later. Do they make a "real HFCer"? Or do Standards count more? Let's count them. I have 3: 1980 with 3 HBs, #01561 1978, #80358, and, if that counts too, 1991, #128868

Bennyboy-UK Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 The 1979 SB I've just ended up with is SN 9 1437
ARM OF HAMER Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Well back a time ago I owned these 2, both were from 1979 and both were fine guitars. Neither one as you can plain see was actually "SUNBURST".
Ian B Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 9 1134. The only Hamer I've ever played. I bought it from the original owner. You never seem to see them in the UK.
JGale Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 The Guitar Formerly Known As Tiger Wood (8 0425) went to Holland, where it joined others of it's flock..."Look! There's a flock of Hamers! It's a herd of Hamers Dad! Of course! I've heard of Hamers. There's a flock of them right there!"
Travis Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 No longer have it but 8 0111 was a killer guitar for sure.
tommyh Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 '78 - 8 0253 - bullseye Grovers and 'big dots'. Right here with me in the UK.
chromium Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 My ‘78 and friends. This one was beautifully refretted with jumbos by Jay/NTL. Killer guitar!
