Matt "Guitar" Murphy playing a Hamer?

I watched The Blues Brothers for the first time since I saw it in the eighties last night. During the scene with Ray Charles, it looks like Matt "Guitar" Murphy is playing a Hamer. I can't get a good enough view of the headstock to tell for sure. Waddya think?

Also: As the story goes, John bought two Hamer Standards, to give to Keith Richards, & his son.

One had the fingerboard  inlayed with: "Keith Richards"

The other story I heard was that they were stolen.

Not sure which is true though.

Not quite.

Both a Keith Richards and a Ron Wood Standard were ordered from Hamer by John Belushi, but they were stolen in transit before they could make it to the SNL set in early October, 1978.  Both were sunburst finished instruments with the artists' names in script inlaid on the fretboards.  Replacements were made and shipped out in mid-1979:  Dave Rogers owns #0199 (the Keith Richards one), and Paul Hamer owns the "Ron Wood" twin.   Belushi also ordered a 3/4 "Mini" Standard for Ron's son Jamie to go with the replacement guitars.  I don't remember if the one Paul ended up with was the originally stolen 1978 one - I'd have to check the serial number tracker info. for that, but I recall that one of the original pair was eventually recovered, so I'm assuming that's the one Paul owns now.

So appart from Standard #0199, and the Ron Wood twin Standard, there could be two identical Standards with "Keith" and "Ron" inlays somewhere out there that no one has seen since they were stolen? That might actually pop up one of these days?
