When Was The Last Time Anybody Here Bought A Brand-New Off-The-Rack Non-Collectible Guitar At Full Price?

I probably paid list for a couple back in the late '60's, early 70's because, well, that's the way things worked back then.  Of late, the only one I can think of that *may* have been MSRP was a Dean Zelinsky G4V (Guitars For Vets). Straight up two humbucker strat type, nothing fancy.  I needed a good, solid modding platform to make use of a SuperSwitch and a couple of 4 conductor pickups.  Being online and Pacific Rim built, the price was tolerable enough and it turned out the quality and parts were better than expected.  And somewhere a vet got another one just like it.
