atomicwash Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 (edited) Fender Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar in Metallic KO. The neck and tuners are from a 2014 model. Everything else is dated to the 2024 serial number on the neck plate. This sale includes the original hardshell case, unopened candy package including the vibrato arm, certificate, strap, and strung with a new set of Elixir 10s. It plays great with the action at the 12th fret measuring 4/64" (strings depressed at the 1st fret). The Metallic KO body color is stunning and the dark Rosewood fingerboard is absolutely beautiful. Custom-wound Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr single-coil pickups. The neck measures .82" deep at the first fret. Fender describes this as a chunky '65 C profile, I think it's on the small side of chunky. The guitar weighs 8lbs and 6.5oz. This guitar is in Excellent Condition showing little signs of use. The plastic is still on the pickguard. It has minimal fret wear. There is a small paint chip on the back of the neck pocket. Request high-resolution photos if you need more details. $1900 shipped to the contiguous states via PP FF. 1 bottlerocket Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Did you replace the neck at some point? How is the neck 10 years in age difference from the rest of the guitar? 1 Quote
cmatthes Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Is this a Stratosphere parts guitar or something? Quote
atomicwash Posted May 2, 2024 Author Posted May 2, 2024 This is my doing, not Stratosphere this time. I bought a 2014 JM that was (very) lightweight, but had a skinny neck which is not my favorite. The 2024 came up locally and had a large neck profile. I combined the big neck and the lightweight body to make my perfect Jaguar. Hopefully, I'll find someone who likes the .82" neck on a near-new body. 2 Quote
cmatthes Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 I’ve got two Marr Jags - I’ve owned a few ‘60s Jaguars before, and I’m convinced that these are the best offset model Fender has ever made. I’ve got the Green one and a (formerly) Black one that I had refinished in “Comet Sparkle”. Great guitars - both of mine (2013 and 2021) have the same larger neck profile and are both pretty lightweight, which helps. 5 Quote

I recently watched some of the recent youtube JM content, very interesting, and he made some good changes to that design. 2 Quote
