Hmmm, that's only about a one-hour drive from my house.

What are the chances a 2004 MONEL would be weight relieved? I have a 2003 that doesn't get the playing time it deserves because it is heavy.

At that price, someone is running a fire sale or it's stolen.

Gorgeous guitar either way.

Are these ebony or rosewood boards?

Stock pickups?

Rosewood, unless somebody placed a custom order for Ebony.

This 2004 Hamer USA Monaco Elite is my guitar.  The guitar is not stolen, and I am not having a fire sale.  Guitar is 10.8lbs and well balanced.  I posted it up on CL to sell and to get an idea of the market pulse for used USA Hamers with original HSC's.  Unfortunately, the market is dead at the moment.  I hope this helps give everyone a reality check on the current state of affairs for used guitars.  I figured with the original HSC this would sell right away.  I was wrong.  Don't need the money so I will remove the add.  Someone should have jumped on it while the getting was good.

I have an '05 Monaco Elite that is close to 8lbs and I absolutely love it. I had it listed for a hot moment but came to my senses and it is staying home with me forever. I've never been one for the mainstream and this guitar ticks all the boxes.

Locally, yes. If you had posted you were willing to ship, I imagine someone would have bitten. Hell, I might have.

Or maybe you could give the guys here a little more information in your first post. Personally, I had no idea this was your guitar until you posted it 4 days later. I've found that generally craigslist posters do not ship unless it's specifically mentioned.

God gave us the ability to ask.  If anyone out of range was interested, they would have asked if shipping was possible.

I don't know what God, Buddha, Vishnu, or anyone else gave to anyone, but people willing to ship on CL generally put that in the ad, like @currypowder said.

As far as I'm concerned, the mods should ban you from selling here. We're all old enough on this board that we don't need some rando with twelve posts coming over here to lecture people who were actually interested in your guitar on what they should have done, particularly when you were intentionally obfuscating your connection to the the CL post.

It also seems that people were right to be hesitant to contact you. They may not have gotten the reason the vibes fell off exactly correct, but they were definitely right to sense they were off. Almost every seller who is this fucking smug is a complete nightmare to work with anyway. If nothing else, thanks for highlighting yourself as someone to avoid dealing with.

Civility people!

#5 on the Thou Shall Not list is "Don't dump on other people's threads. Keep negative comments about price, the manufacturer, the seller, or whatever else to yourself."

If you don't like the ad CLICK On BY. We have lots of good things to read here. You don't have to read the stuff you don't agree with.

In all fairness, I don't think anyone has an issue with the price or the ad in and of itself. It's more that it seems like it was a fishing expedition where the OP's relationship to the Craigslist Ad in question was not disclosed and then he decided to chide members for not contacting him before he took it down despite not being more clear about his relationship or that, I guess, the whole point of this was to teach our board a lesson about what Hamers are worth.

Even after being here for over a decade, I'd expect y'all to keelhaul me if I did similar, and rightfully so.

And he may not of had enough posts here to legitimately post a guitar for sale until there were a few replies to the OP.

Not judging either side. Just hate to see it escalate to name calling and such.
