I love cursive, practiced until I could nail a perfect T and G, but KIZ is right, when it came to college and math, physics, engineering, block lettering was superior in speed plus legibility. Some cursive didn’t mix well with formulae. Go figure.

I don’t use it much anymore because I’m not writing love notes to disinterested possible mates.

They're probably sitting by the mailbox wondering where the love letters are..why did they stop!? 🤔

On a related note is this the only country that uses 120 volt current? And why is that?

Distribution to a residence (and non-industrial business) is actually 240 and is split at your breaker box.  In the case of the HVAC, electric dryer or oven, the separate 110 legs are joined back to provide 240. Had a cool thing happen a few years ago that drove this home: we lost electricity in random areas of the house. We had power in one bedroom's outlets, but the lights didn't work; lights in the living room but now power in the outlets - all over the house. Our power comes from the transformer to our house via underground cable. One leg of that cable had broken. The seemingly random distribution in the house was due to the distribution in the breaker box. Circuits on the left 110V leg were operable; circuits on the right 110V leg were dead. Until I figured it out it was poltergeist! 😄

I am just grateful for Tesla finally figuring out the AC motor so Westinghouse won over Edison - otherwise we'd all be running DC (with the resulting incredibly hideous infrastructure and regular deaths from electrocution)!

ETA: that's ^^^ gorgeous!

You could also search this forum and find out who has these Beatles graphics. Anyway…

Edit: Roy at RS Guitar Works according to this link. I think one of you has a black one with white graphics.

It kinda depends, used to be many years ago that the US standard voltage was 117 volts (and you'll see some older [mostly antique] appliances including amplifiers specifying that), though I've seen it mentioned before as low as 110 volts; and there's been some discussions on the HFC from time to time about locations and even buildings not being necessarily consistent voltage-wise, as far as gig-worthyness goes.  Here's a fun article for the world travelers among us:

Mains electricity by country - Wikipedia

When I was stationed in Japan (West Coast of JP, and apparently according to the Wiki article above, there is a difference between that area and their East Coast), I used an US voltage electric alarm clock.  Even though I lived on base, the power grid was apparently local (100 volts).  My US-voltage alarm clock worked fine for radio, but time-wise it would lose about an hour daily, and I would have to reset it frequently to keep from staying in bed too long.  Fun!  I was too lazy to buy a Japan-standard electric alarm clock, so no Hello Kitty clock for me, unfortunately.

Edited to add:  Don't forget about the EVH Variac debate, too!

Neither nor I'm afraid or rather neither neither nor... I'm pretty sure this is a different guitar altogether.... There was a guy here on the forum (Bernard?) in France or Belgium with an 80's white matching headstock special that looked absolutely fabulous and almost new when he posted it here. Easily ten years ago but I got yours from the original owner in Germany. Love the matching black tuners which it didn't have at the time.

You are the best. Just don't expect a commission even if you have worked harder on this than I have 😃
