DaveL Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 (edited) Good god… was front row in Boston in 1983. They are missing the original members but Dave M still sounds great. Might be one of the better sounding 80’s metal bands still kickin schenkeresque slash majestic riffage Just sayin. Edited May 22, 2024 by DaveL 7 Quote
RobB Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 LOVED this band until they got lame. Meniketti is an unheralded ripper. 1 Quote

I hate to say this cuz I really like y&t, but there is a high fatigue factor to his voice.. with accept it sounds great until that singer opens his mouth. I don't know krocus's music, wonder if t's the same situation? Listening to a few of their songs in sequence it's understandable why they never made it big, which sucks cuz they're big time talented.. I think it's some magic synergy of the singer and the guitarist Quote
The Shark Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Saw them open for David Lee Roth with Steve Vai. Played a full show too. Vai was side stage the whole show. Dave M. is the real deal. 4 Quote
Submariner85 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 I had a few of their albums way long time ago. Quote
Len Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Bought this album as a teenager when it came out ... Been a lifelong fan ever since ... Love these guys 2 Quote
tommy p Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Great guitarist and singer. I always thought he sounded a bit like a manlier Sammy Hagar. Quote
Bluesking Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Meniketti is still a monster player 50 years later. He's also a down to earth, approachable guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him after a show a few years back. A nice experience for me as a lifelong Y&T fan. 2 Quote

Being from the East Bay and getting to know both Leonard Haze & Joey Alves when they were both alive and not in Y&T, was a great privilege for me. Both of them were good people and treated me as a friend. Buying this 1993 Special w/P-90 pickups for me was inspired by Joey Alves. Yes, his tone was killer too! I use this guitar as my main guitar in my AC/DC tribute band. Edited June 6, 2024 by Hamer95USA 3 Quote
